"Some things in life should be free. Easy WiFi Radar helps you find and connect to open wireless access points with a single mouseclick. It's WiFi for Dummies. And we're giving it away for your PC.

If you have ever tried to use Windows XP's built-in connection manager, you know what a hassle it can be to quickly check your mail or browse the web on the go. You need to browse through a list of access points, find one that you can connect to, manually try to connect to it, confirm the connection and then wait. Even if it says that's it connected, often it doesn't open a webpage or you mail will stall. Easy WiFi Radar automates all of this. "

" Has trying to keep up with your inbox got you feeling like a hamster on a wheel, running faster and getting nowhere? Help is here!

(Fortune) -- Here is a startling bit of arithmetic: If you get and send 100 e-mails a day, that adds up to 24,000 messages annually, on which you probably spend an average of 100 workdays. If you could manage to reduce the amount of e-mail you send and receive by 20%, you'd free up 20 workdays a year to use for other things, like thinking up new ideas that could help further your career or, heck, taking a longer vacation. "

Computer Video Game that Hooks Kids on Shakespeare

"Speare - The Literacy Arcade Game

Speare is ingenious, original, and, above all else, a fun game that also teaches literacy skills. Successfully tested with a wide range of ages, it has been shown to entertain as much as it educates. It is also the first educational SmartGame© designed with a full complement of associated learning tools for students and teachers. 'Speare fully integrates gaming and educational goals to the degree that the two are indistinguishable.

Some problems that Speare aims to address:

  • The vast majority of online games and websites do not present positive, productive, learning environments for youth (elementary school through undergraduate).
  • Three fifths of American teenagers play video games each week, and a quarter of them play games six hours or more – most of these commercial games have no educational value, and contribute to violent, dissociated engagement with media.
  • In contrast to the commercial gaming market, educational games rarely have authentic appeal to gamers thus limiting their efficacy and widespread dissemination. "

MindMapper.com

www.MindMapper.com - Seeing is believing.

Now is the time to start visualizing your thoughts and ideas and organizing them into practical, real world applications. MindMapper is more than just tapping into your creative juices; it's understanding the way you think and maximizing it to your advantage. MindMapper allows you to think freely, without the restrictions of unnatural linear formatting and outlining structures commonly found in software. Consider it organization for the unorganized mind.

I Personally have been using mind mapper for almost 5 years now. It has been great in organizing projects, websites, trips, remodels, parties and more. I think it's a great tool that helps keep you visually organized.

I currently still use the 3.5 version of Mindmapper. They are at version 5 now and its a bit pricey but well worth it.

There are a few FREE shareware solutions that offer almost the same basic functionality, but not the simple well refined ease of use and features of MindMapper.

FreeMind is a decent free mindmapper like program. You can find it at: http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
Click on the download and install link. (FreeMind is for both MAC or PC)

Knowledge Map is another free mindmapper like program that has different features than FreeMind. You can find it at: http://www.inforapid.de/html/kmscreenshots.htm
Click on the download link to download it.

Download the free ones and give them a try. They are basic on snappy features but create some nice visuals. They might be all you need. If not purchase the MindMapper software. Its well worth it!
