Five Minds for the Future
"We live in a time of vast changes. And those changes call for entirely new ways of learning and thinking. In Five Minds for the Future: Howard Gardner defines the cognitive abilities that will command a premium in the years ahead:

the disciplinary mind-mastery of major schools of thought (including science, mathematics, and history) and of at least one professional craft
the synthesizing mind-ability to integrate ideas from different disciplines or spheres into a coherent whole and to communicate that integration to others
the creating mind-capacity to uncover and clarify new problems, questions, and phenomena
the respectful mind-awareness of and appreciation for differences among human beings and human groups
the ethical mind-fulfillment of one’s responsibilities as a worker and citizen"

Abundance, Abundance, Abundance
" Do you live in a world of abundance? Or do you come from a place of scarcity and lack?

Abundance is a lot more than just money or material things. You live in a very rich and beautiful world - you just have to open your eyes. Just think about the beauty of the sky, the greenery all around you, the grace of animals, the love in you, and the sheer miracle of this life.

You choose to see the world through the eyes of abundance or lack. It is a choice that you make, based on your conditioning and beliefs. So change your perception, and you will not only be aware of the abundance around you, but even more will flow into your life in the form of love, money and other worldly goods. "

12 Ways to Decompress after High Stress
"The last couple of days were just crazy for me. My days were jam-packed with activity, meetings, people stopping in to see me, hundreds of emails, phone calls and messages, one project after another. I am usually able to maintain calm and focus in the midst of a workday, but the last two days put my abilities to a test. I stayed calm, but the stress levels were definitely higher than I care for.

After all that, I needed to decompress.

So today is a decompression day for me. I have a number of tried-and-true methods that work for me, and I have to say, in the last 24 hours, my stress levels have dropped dramatically.

Here’s what works for me:

Deep breathing. Take a deep breath. Hold it. Now let it out … slowly. "

The Breath Of The Universe - The Wind
"  We can connect ourselves with a basic force of nature by focusing on the essential element of air during a wind meditation. We begin by centering ourselves on our breath. We inhale the life-giving force, feeling it fill us, and then releasing it into the world to let our breath mingle with the breath of nature. If we cannot feel the wind right now, we can recall times when the wind has sent us gifts of caresses on bare skin, ruffling our clothes and playing with our hair. We can evoke sounds carried on the wind, maybe laughter or song, or perhaps just the wind's own whispers through the trees or across the landscape of our ears. "

What Got You Here Won't Get You There
The corporate world is filled with executives, men and women who have worked hard for years to reach the upper levels of management. They're intelligent, skilled, and even charismatic. But only a handful of them will ever reach the pinnacle - and as executive coach Marshall Goldsmith shows in this book, subtle nuances make all the difference. These are small "transactional flaws" performed by one person against another (as simple as not saying thank you enough), which lead to negative perceptions that can hold any executive back. Using Goldsmith's straightforward, jargon free advice, it's amazingly easy behavior to change.

10 ways to increase energy and motivation
" Having trouble finding enough energy to go out for that long run or juggle a 2 hour practice session? Then here are some tips that might help you. They are based on information from this article called 15 instant energy boosters. Looks like this study was motivation and energy joggling sponsored by a tea company. We’ve seen here before the benefits of tea drinking. For this article, I’ve only chosen the ones that would work best for running jugglers.

1. Wake up naturally. If the alarm clock wakes you up mid-sleep cycle you’ll be messed up for hours. According to researchers it’s much better to wake up naturally. "

Baby Crying Behind You on a Jet? Turn a Negative into a Positive
" I was flying to Chicago to run a workshop. I needed to concentrate on editing my presentation. The peace and quiet would be great. The flight attendants were getting ready to close the doors when I started working. And then it happened.

I heard a flight attendant say, “You’re in 23C.” And just as I looked up I heard the increasingly loud sound of a baby crying. An upset baby girl and her mother were coming my way. Right behind me was the seat 23C .

Five minutes later the baby’s cry turned into a wail and her little legs were kicking my seat. I couldn't work with such distraction."

Six Ways to Keep Yourself Motivated
" Every entrepreneur goes through a time where they don’t know where to go, or what to do next. There are days where you don’t want to get out of bed because it seems like nothing is going right, and you lack motivation to try something new. Every single morning I force myself to come out with guns blazing, ready to do what needs to be done. However It’s hard to have to keep pressing forward every day because you can get burnt out fast. Here are six ways I have found to keep myself motivated, even on the hardest days.

1. Be Materialistic Sometimes it’s great to be materialistic. Find a picture of something you want "
